My local work cafe is Four Corners, a relatively new addition to a rapidly changing Lower Marsh high street in Waterloo, and a welcome change indeed. It’s nice to have an independent coffee shop amongst Waterloo’s generic chains, and Four Corners makes an excellent Flat White. This travel themed cafe is quirky and stylishly outfitted with old travel trunks and guide books.
The counter food is sparse but delicious, cakes, breads soups etc. But it’s all about the coffee, which is undoubtedly the best in the area. If you haven’t visited Lower Marsh in a while, or ever, you’ll be presently surprised at the vintage stores, artisan butchers and trendy cafes which have replaced the greasy spoons and dingy bars.
