It’s dangerous to have cheap and easily available lobster in your immediate lunch time vicinity. Suddenly greasy fish and chips are not enough, smoked salmon seems last season and tuna and mayo sandwiches just ain’t going to cut it. No, once you’ve tried the king of crustaceans there’s no going back, so I find myself in perilous territory having just tried Fraq’s Lobster Shack on Goodge Street. It’s just 3 minutes walk from the office and with lobster rolls for less than £8 it’s set to become my new lunch time destination. Buttery brioche buns are filled with a generous helping of fresh lobster, accompanied by lettuce and your choice of sauce, butter, garlic mayo or chilli. There’s sides of fries and salads for the healthy, but it’s the melt in your mouth lobster rolls which are the true stars here. Don’t start going unless you never mean to stop.
